Hello there! My name is Kaiya and I am a freelance story artist, illustrator, and character designer. I am a student aiming for a story art and concept art degree. I have been drawing for most of my life and am always looking for the next goal in my artistic journey. Much of my art style has been inspired by the cartoons I grew up with such as Adventure Time, and Gravity Falls, as well as stories I read like Not Drunk Enough(Tess Violet) and Unfamiliar(Haley Newsome). Because of the nature of these vastly different media and many others, my art style often diverges into cute but disturbing. These shows and books have inspired me immensely and now I want to be able to encourage people to tell their stories.
When I’m not hunched over my desk drawing, I’m usually reading, going on a run, or trying to convince my friends to buy obscene amounts of Pokémon cards. My current artistic goal is to be hired as a story artist or concept artist for an animated show and/or video game.
